How far along: Technically 17.5 weeks.. Whoops
Size of Baby: Pear (4.9 oz)
Gender: We find out next week!! Stay posted for our gender reveal!
Must have items: Gatorade, Chapstick and Lotion. I can't believe how dry my skin is (including my lips)! It's gross. The gatorade is because it's the best way this body of mine is getting as much salt as it needs in. Good thing I love salty foods!
Maternity Clothes: Oh dear YES. Maternity pants are such a wonderful invention and I applaud the inventor! Thank you! you literally saved my butt. I can still fit into (most) of my tops but I did buy one maternity shirt because it was so cute and it feels heavenly as well.
Sleep: Oh man, between the wild dreams, having to pee every other hour, and working graveyards sleep is hard to get! I thank my lucky stars that my classes at school don't start until late morning/early afternoon to let me catch up a little here and there.
Cravings: Hmmm... I don't have any specific cravings but when I think of something that sounds good I need it right then, and it doesn't matter if it is 3am. My hubby is just the sweetest thing and is always more then willing to help me satisfy my cravings.
Baby Movement: Little flutters and popping bubbles! A favorite place for our little peanut to be is right on my bladder, which definitely doesn't help the needing to pee every other hour situation.
Belly Button: It's still in for now but who knows!?
Stretch Marks: Thank goodness not yet! but I'm not holding my breath. I think I've just accepted that they will come sooner or later.
Challenges this week: Like always, walking up stairs and lots of physical activity is alway difficult. It doesn't seem like this heart condition is going to let up anytime soon so for now we will just stick to the meds the doctor has me on because they are my lifesaver during work! We like to joke that my heart is just jealous of how fast the baby's heartbeat is so its just trying to keep up :)
Best moment of this week: Feeling all the flutters and popping more consistently. I started feeling them about a week and a half ago but they were so irregular and faint that I couldn't decide whether that was the baby or not, but they are getting stronger and more consistent now and I can definitely tell the difference!
Nursery: Oh it is a work in progress but it's coming along. We got the crib set up this week and it makes me so happy! (Hubby finally gave into me begging to set it up). We have a little collection of boys and girls clothes from my mom's children store she used to owned and have already started stocking up on diapers, wipes, and children's books :)
